YAPAD in Sierra Leone
The Youth Alliance for Peace and Development (YAPAD) is a coalition of youth organisations and Youth serving organisations working towards genuine youth development and empowerment in the four regions of Sierra Leone.
YAPAD was established in 2000 and has worked within its established framework over the years. The initial ideology of forming YAPAD was to foster peace and reconciliation among Sierra Leonean youths and their communities.
It's current project is funded by The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund and draws on the support of VSO who are working in partnership with Village Aid to enhance the capacity of local youth groups.
