Amazing Ashford summer fundraising

Ashford-in-the-Water Holy Trinity Church steps up their campaign to support the 'Sally Koroma Mile 91 Orphanage' in Sierra Leone.
For nearly two years now the Holy Trinity Parish Church in Ashford has been raising money for the Village Aid supported orphanage in Tonkolili (a central district of Sierra Leone).
A recent flood of summer fundraising has yielded an incredible £1500. Amongst the events to raise this money was the churches annual flower festival and the solo efforts of some parishioners to take place in the London 10km run.
David Lee, the churches treasurer completed the race in just over one hour and contributed to an amazing £400 total.
Here at Village Aid we are very honoured and humbled not only by the amount of money raised but by the churches long term commitment to such an ambitions fundraising schedule.
To everyone at Holy Trinity Parish Church, thank you all so much for your continuing support. We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming months about what a difference your money is making.
