Baring Foundation continues to support Village Aid
This is the third year that Village Aid have received support from the Baring Foundation for their on going project in Sierra Leone and Ghana which was originally granted in 2005.
The project is aimed at tackling youth displacement caused by civil conflict and economic migration by capacity building at a grass roots level. The grant has enabled local partner organisations to work in communities to address the issues in a variety of ways. Micro finance facilities, literacy circles and advocacy work are a few examples of the way that Village Aid’s partner organisations have helped to rebuild local livelihoods.
Village Aid rely on their partner organisations unfailing commitment to manage the projects on the ground. Investing in people is paramount to the success and continued longevity of the projects.
To maintain activities in the future we require regular support, if you would like to become a member of Village Aid, please call Jo on 01629 814434 or email jo@villageaid.org
