Wirksworth “Changed the world with music!”
Supporters of Bakewell’s International development charity bopped along with Steve Rivers and his “Unbeatable Energy” African drumming ensemble from Sheffield. Entertainment was also supplied by the Jungle Jazz trio “Unknown Creatures” and “Riptide”, Derby’s up and coming rock band who got everyone dancing at the end. A big thank you to all that performed free of charge, enabling profits of £600 to go directly to Village Aid’s Easter Appeal, Vision for the Blind in Sierra Leone.
Jo Williams, Village Aid’s Donor development manager was pleased at the turnout “It was a great night, a real eclectic mix of music and people! We hope to make “Change the world with Music” an annual event.”
