Volunteering

Are you interested in giving your time and skills to our Village Aid office based in Bakewell?

Village Aid is always looking for committed and skilled volunteers to help us. Opportunities at Village Aid can vary from assisting with fundraising events, general administrative duties to researching new projects and ideas.

We are constantly looking for volunteers with skills in a wide variety of areas. Our current needs include:

  • Research
  • Administrative Assistance
  • Events support

We do our best to ensure we can tailor the tasks we give to volunteers to suit their skills and interests. However, on occasion, volunteers will have to carry out tasks that represent our current needs.

"Volunteering for an organisation with such sound sustainable development aims is so important to me. The support I have received from such a diverse team of volunteers, staff and trustees has been fantastic" Lesley Gosling - Events Organiser

"Since volunteering with Village Aid I have learnt a great deal about the problems that West Africa faces. It has been inspiring to learn of their innovative approach in tackling these issues" Joe Beswick - Office Volunteer

"Village Aid does fantastic work in my home country of Cameroon. It is a great privilege to offer my time and skills to an organisation in Derbyshire supporting work in my country" Stella Kisob Knowles - Volunteer

"We created the Village Aid student society to reach other students who were inspired by Village Aid's efforts to tackle extreme poverty in West Africa. We value their sustainable and empowering approach" Sophie Burge, Hannah Smith & Anna Campbell" - Founders of the Sheffield University Village Aid student society
